Volgens comScore zijn er sindskort meer dan 1.000.000.000 internetgebruikers online. Niet allemaal tegelijkertijd maar wereldwijd maken 1 biljoen mensen gebruik van het internet. Volgens Magid Abraham, President and Chief Executive Officer van comScore, is dit een historisch punt in de ontwikkelingen van het internet.

De meeste gebruikers zitten in China, de US en Japan. Hoeveel internetgebruikers Curacao anno 2009 heeft is onbekend.
